Every family looks forward to the birth of a child with great fondness, expectation and anticipation. The birth of a healthy child ushers in a great joy and happiness to the entire family, but in case the child is handicapped or a baby is born with deficiencies then it is a matter of traumatic suffering. Nobody can even entertain such a thing happening to them in life.

I am syama from Hyderabad. I strongly and heart fully decided to serve the handicapped students and give my support for the abled children mother. Handicapped children are not getting proper support and encouragement from the family or society. To give my services I joined in Special School. After two years training with lots effort. I was been selected for DMR course in National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped.
I started “ALAMBANA” Special school for the mentally handicapped in the year 1994 with two kids in a single room and now grown to 12 halls serving 140 students directly. It provides Therapeutic Care, Special Training in Behavior Pattern & Modification, Special Education with Integrated Process to enhance self esteem to their minds thus enabling them to add value to themselves and the society at large. Apart from that I was actively concern the issues of women empowerment, travelled extensively in the areas of Hyderabad, Guntur, Nalgonda, Nijamabad, Vizag, Sattanapally, Vijayawada in and there.

Achievements

From 1995 onwords I have attended many workshops and seminars in National Level Government of Andhrapradesh recognized my services and honored me “Best Social worker” in 1999, In 2000 Uvard organization , Lion’s Club Best Teacher Award in 2001, Best Women Citizen of India, Best social Worker from SBI, SBH & Red Cross Society

Children who are slow in studies & whose learning capacity is not up to the mark as per the physical growth of the child. Children irrespective of caste, religion, community and age.
