I am Syama from Hyderabad. In degree as per my interest I became member of “Vivekananda Kendra” & ”Red Cross Society”. As an associate member of these societies I got an opportunity to participate Slums education program, Balavikas Classes, Special Sunday classes for the poor and needy children at downtrodden. Through “Ramakrishna Mission” when I attended the awareness programs I came across the Mentally Handicapped Students and the parents. I strongly and heart fully decided to serve the handicapped students and give my support for the abled children mother. Handicapped children are not getting proper support and encouragement from the family or society. To give my services I joined in Special School. After two years training with lots effort. I was been selected for DMR course in National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped.

I started “ALAMBANA” Special school for the mentally handicapped in the year 1994 with two kids in a single room and now grown to 12 halls serving 140 students directly. It provides Therapeutic Care, Special Training in Behavior Pattern & Modification, Special Education with Integrated Process to enhance self esteem to their minds thus enabling them to add value to themselves and the society at large. Apart from that I was actively concern the issues of women empowerment, travelled extensively in the areas of Hyderabad, Guntur, Nalgunda, Nijamabad, Vizag, Sattanapally, Vijayawadw in and there.
